Today was all about the accessories! I wore my black and white, geometric print pleated skirt from Banana Republic with my black and gold studded Michael Kor’s t-shirt. Then I started piling on a ton of fun jewelry. I liked the way yesterday’s necklaces looked, so I found three more to wear together. I started with a long gold mini tassel necklace from C. Wonder, then added a single tassel pendant necklace from Ann Taylor, and finished the look with a vintage Chanel button charm that I bought at a Christmas boutique. The bracelets came next! I started with my hot pink, Kate Spade leather bow bracelet for a pop if color. A few more Kate Spade bangles and a multi-strand leather and chain bracelet from Forever 21 created the perfect arm party! Lots of accessories for a fun day!
Today, I wore a really simple navy and maroon jersey striped dress that I recently bought at the Gap factory store at the Carlsbad outlet mall. The dress was only $30 and it’s a great grab and go option. It’s perfect for mornings when I need to get ready at the gym, since it doesn’t wrinkle and will roll up nicely in my gym bag. Since the dress is rather plain, I decided to play with necklaces of varying lengths. I wore three of my favorites and I think they really compliment one another. I layered my Kate Spade “one in a million” initial disk necklace with my Coach heart locket, and my C. Wonder “H” script necklace. I love the way the necklaces make the dress stand out! Now I’m looking at all my necklaces and trying to figure out other combinations to layer together.

I’m still working on wearing all my new fall purchases. So for a casual Saturday night out, I debuted another one of my Nordstrom Anniversary sale purchases, a Vince Camuto maroon and ivory plaid sweatshirt. This sweatshirt had solids maroon sleeves and the plaid portion in the front is sheer. I wanted a simple and comfortable outfit for dinner with friends, so I wore this cute new top with my Joe’s boyfriend jeans and my black Tory Burch Reva’s. My favorite accessories to add to any plaid shirt are pearls and a monogram. As a result, I added my gold “H” monogram necklace from C. Wonder and my vintage Chanel button ring. I can see myself wearing this sweatshirt on a Friday with a black pencil skirt with heels and then slipping on jeans and flats to head out to dinner and drinks.

Last week our school photographer was on campus for three days taking school pictures. My goal was to take a picture each day and then pick the best one. Sadly, I missed my window of opportunity each day. Today, was the make up picture day, so I needed a fabulous outfit that would look great for my one take. I decided to go for a classic look with an LBD and pearls. I wore my black shirt-sleeved shift dress from Anthropology and then piled on the pearls. My long C. Wonder pearl necklace is extremely versatile. Today, I’m wearing it as a triple stand with another pearl necklace with a bow detail from Ann Taylor Loft. I added some stretchy pearl bracelets from Forever 21 my vintage Chanel button ring, and my C. Wonder pearl stud earrings.

Spirit days at my school are so much fun! Each grade level is assigned a class color: red, white, or blue. Since I represent all grades, I always wear all three colors. So, I decided to recycle my 4th of July shirt and pearls combo. I wore a red, white, and blue plaid shirt from Banana Republic with navy khaki pants from Gap. My navy Cole Hahn wedges were perfect for a day that involved a ton of steps and running around. To jazz up the outfit, I piled on my long pearls from C. Wonder(worn as a triple strand) and a pearl bow necklace from Ann Taylor Loft. Pearls and plaid are a fabulous combination!
Homework: How would you incorporate red, white, and blue into a spirit day outfit?
It’s a perfect day sequins and seersucker! Today, I’m wearing my favorite SJP Bitten seersucker pants with a bright yellow tank with tone on tone sequin stripes from the Banana Republic outlet. It’s such a fun combination! I layered a white tank from Old Navy under the yellow tank to add dimension. My nude Tory Burch bow flats and my C. Wonder pearl studs were all I needed to complete the outfit. It’s a perfect combination for a Saturday outing!
Homework: Take weekend off and enjoy! Happy Labor Day!
Here’s a super cute and casual outfit for running errands and lunching or brunching with friends. Yes, I’m still obsessed with my $17 H&M leopard “MC Hammer” pants. They are so comfortable… Seriously, it’s like wearing your pajamas in public! When my friend Stephanie bought her “Hammer” pants last year, I teased her saying it was a slippery slope, maybe she would get too comfortable. Now, I can’t stop wearing mine. I take it all back! To dress up my public pj’s, I added an ivory eyelet t-shirt from the Ann Taylor Loft sale rack and my new favorite Tory Burch “party fuchsia” Reva’s. You are going to be seeing a lot of these shoes. I love them and at $145 they were a great deal at the Desert Hills outlet! I kept the accessories simple by only adding a two-toned pink bangle from Forever 21 and my C. Wonder pink gem studs. It’s the perfect daytime, running around town outfit.

Whenever I need a last minute outfit, I always fall back on a classic color palette like red, white, and black. Today, I combined a red a-line skirt with a white eyelet t-shirt, both from the Banana Republic sale rack. I added a black and white textured cardigan from Ann Taylor to the outfit because I love that it ties with a bow. My gray snakeskin Tory Burch ballet flats tied the whole outfit together. My rhinestone bracelet from Charming Charlie and my white enamel “H” bracelet from C. Wonder completed the outfit.

So, I went back to Vegas for a couple of days this week. I love it there and this was a super fun trip. I always pick my travel outfits carefully. I want to be comfortable and stylish… and warm. I’m always cold on airplanes.
For this trip, I wore a black strapless dress that I picked up at Old Navy for $15. It was a great base, and I knew it would be perfect once we landed. Since planes are usually cold for me, layers are important. This camo shirt is perfect as a lightweight jacket. I picked it up at Forever 21 for $25. I wore my fedora since it’s difficult to pack and my black Tory Burch sandals. When we arrived in Vegas, I took off the camo shirt and the dress with the fedora was perfect for the Vegas heat!
For the plane ride home, I wore a navy blue maxi dress that I bought at Old Navy for $15. I added my new Kendra Scott emerald green earrings that I picked up at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. The rest of the outfit was recycled from my previous outfit. The camo shirt, sandals, and fedora worked great with this dress, too. The airport was super cold, so I was so glad I had the long-sleeved shirt with me.
I used my black Tory Burch tote bag as my carry on and it held two of my C. Wonder clutches inside. I used one clutch as my IPad case and one as a purse. It gave me options as I could easily switch out the clutches, depending on my outfit. I also had a few magazines and snacks 🙂
Homework: What is your go-to travel outfit?
I love pink, bows and camo, so, of course, I ❤️ this outfit! Figuring out new ways to wear these camo khakis from Gap, is a challenge I willingly accept. This week I added this adorable pink bow tank top from Banana Republic and I was done! My Coach wedges, C. Wonder clutch, and a few bracelets completed the outfit. Oh, and my Chanel sunnies take any outfit to the next level. Effortless and chic!
