Dress Code: An all-star baby shower!

imageOn Saturday, I attended an amazing Angels’ themed baby show at my friend Steiny’s house. She thought of every detail to make the party perfect. It was really hot, so I wore my favorite Gap camo khakis and an orange sleeveless t-shirt from Banana Republic, layered over a white camisole. I added my super bling statement necklace from the J.Crew Factory website, my new camo clutch from C. Wonder, and my Coach wedges to complete the look.

imageThere were so many fun details at the party. She served hot dogs in authentic tin foil bags and had a make-your-own nacho bar with fruit kabobs and individual veggie and dip cups. Everything was delicious and I’m sure it was all calorie free!

imageSteiny’s boss, Colleen, who is also a fan of this blog, made adorable flower arrangements in popcorn containers. Peanuts and baseballs were used in vases and mason jars filled with red vines were scattered around the tables. A cute clothes line was in the backyard featuring rally monkeys and Angels’ onesies.

imageThe cake was super cute and had several different flavors and fillings, something for everyone! I love frosting and I completely enjoyed my piece of chocolate cake with raspberry filling. She also had an adorable cupcake tree stacked with Angel cupcakes. Boxes of Cracker Jacks were the party favors.

imageSteiny assigned us all jobs. Colleen did the flowers, Rebecca, also a fan of the blog, was the photographer, Patty was in charge of hot dogs and cutting the cake, and Vicky supervised the present opening and merchandised the gifts. I was responsible for the one shower game we played. I knew I wanted to play a celebrity baby name game, so I turned to Pinterest and found a free printable that I downloaded and copied.

What a fun day! It was also Steiny’s birthday. Happy birthday, Kathy! You are a one in a million friend and I’m so glad I was included in this event. You know you went to a fun party when you need a nap afterwards!
